The location is truly extraordinary. The hacienda is located next to a nature reserve amidst beautiful vegetation and impressive landscape. The hacienda can only be reached with a tarabita, a cable car crossing a canyon with spectacular views onto a waterfall. The hosts went out of their way to make our stay special. They also prepared local food, including the trouts that we could fish in a pond right next to the restaurant.

In all the hostels I have stayed in this was my favourite, the staff were best I have come across whilst travelling in Ecuador,
