The property is located right on the beach so you don’t have to go far to start your day or end it with a beautiful sunset from the balcony! The staff especially Abel are so welcoming, friendly and would do anything to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. I was unfortunately not well when I was here and Abel went to the shops and got me snacks and medicine per my request, he was so happy to help me. He also lent me a snorkel for free. The room is very comfortable and the Wifi and aircon work well. I highly recommend staying here!

Room simple but ours was large. The price is not cheap but average for this island. It is great that the beach bar can be used by guests all day although it only opens in the afternoon. We spent a lot of time in the hammocks. The family, who runs this accommodation is great, they are happy to take care of your needs and we got to spend time with them and their dog, for example playing games together. We can only recommend this place to anyone who wants to unwind. We hope to come back one day!

The location of the hotel is nice. The TV is good so you can relax during the night. There is a beach in front of you in case if you want to take a sun bath or swimming. The room size is actually good, I did like the design of the room. The staff was kind and helpful.

Hotel is on the edge of town so we could walk everywhere we wanted to go. Room had a fridge which was great for snacks and drinks. Free filtered water was provided to fill up your own bottles. A great bonus that they don't charge when the town water is undrinkable. Close to nice beach.

Hotel is located in the second row of the beach. There is party at the beach (Pink Iguana Bar) on Fridays and Saturdays. I heard guests with rooms facing the beach complaining about noise during weekend nights. My room was facing the back country. With my windows closed I did not hear anything during weekend nights.

We enjoyed the different activities and places to visit in Isabela, I think the Sierra Negra Volcano, and the tintoreras tour are the best. Taxis used to charge much more than in Santa Cruz since they charge by people, not by ride.

It’s probably one of the best places in the world (and I traveled to 60+ countries). Definitely for travelers who like wild life, not for parties.
I enjoyed beach walks, hikes, tours to the nature (volcanos, snorkeling, seeing penguins and sea lions, giant turtles).
There are few restaurants on the beach but I also tried some local places where for 3,5$ you can get a delicious meal with grilled shrimps and rice!

We enjoyed Isabel Island the most of the three Islands we stayed at. Fantastic wildlife. The sunrises and sunsets, long beach walks, Los Tunnels Tour, bike rental, trails, tortoise natural reserve, plenty of shops for fresh fish and produce, plenty of restaurants with delicious food, panaderias with baked goods and early morning coffee. Awesome locals that were very friendly and helpful. Exceeded all our expectations.

We enjoyed traveling beyond Santa Cruz Island for a few nights, just to experience the "vibe" of a different island. The town of Puerto Villamil is relaxed, very friendly and a charming beach town. Most of the area is walkable, though taxis were very cheap (less than $5).

Isabela is a backpacker's destination with very poor infrastructure and low level restaurants. And it's extremely expensive for a European, especially if you come from a non Euro-country given the appreciation of the USD. We struggled to find a decent restaurant and it turned out that the Mexican was the best (full every night). To give you an example of cost, a main course was between USD19-30 which in eg Spain would have been aprox USD8. Price/quality ratio is among the worst we've experienced.
Ecuador, especially the islands, is a cash only-no receipt-economy with the purpose of squeezing the last dollar out of the tourists. We left with few intentions of returning which is a shame given the amazing animals and nature. People are mostly very friendly and helpful which was a nice.

The laid-back beach town vibes here are so much different than Puerto Ayora and Puerto Baquerizo Moreno on the other islands. We loved the relaxing atmosphere and I wish we'd planned this stop toward the end of the trip instead of right at the beginning. Make sure you do a trip to Los Tuneles while you're there - the scenery is fantastic and it was the best snorkeling we had on our week in the islands.

By far our favourite hotel of all four that we stayed at on Galapagos! Friendly, helpful, welcoming reception staff that booked our tours of Isabela at a great price and were always there when we needed them.
The clean, comfortable, big room with a modern bathroom was a pleasure. The large breakfast offered some variety (unusual for Ecuador). The pool is a cool addition and nice to chill around.
Close enough to all the restaurants, the beach and the centre.
Amazing hotel/hostel in Isla Isabela. Great location, modern, very clean and helpful staff. Wilmer at reception in particular was really friendly and helpful - always going the extra mile!
Highly recommended!
A very nice place to stay in Puerto Villamil. Near everything and good value for money.
