Great hotel in Santa Cruz - Galapagos which we can highly recommend.
-The hotel was very clean. We had the biggest room, a Suite Deluxe (room name: "Isabela"), and had a nice view to the sea from our balcony which was big. There was also a whirlpool . The personal very nicely explained how the the whirlpool works. However, we could also tell them when we planned to go to the whirlpool in advance and they already prepared it to have it ready when we get to the room. The whirlpool was very clean.
-The hotel is directly located at the sea and centrally. Going out from the hotel to the street you have a lot of delicious restaurants. As usual at Santa Cruz, you have to walk to the beaches since the hotels do not have direct access to beaches. However, the closed, small, beach is only approx. 5 to 10 min by walk.
-The pool at the hotel is very clean and there is a bar. Furthermore, since the hotel has not many rooms, the pool is not crowded and thus is great for relaxing.
-Once, while eating breakfast outside, a sea lion was sleeping in the sun at the hotel area. The sea lion came by himself from the sea. This was so nice and cute.
-What we would especially like to point out is the personal. At first day, the hotel manager welcomed us and explained us everything. I had once a strong sunburn (I am a bit sensitive to the sun). So, I called 02.00 am in the morning the hotel manager and he immediately came and organised a doctor. I really appreciated it and he was always very polite. Generally, all person at the hotel was polite.
-If we go to Canta Cruz again, we will definitely going back to this hotel.

Puerto Ayora in Santa Cruz is the most developed place for tourism within the Galapagos islands. There are plenty of places to eat, walk, beaches, transportation (cars and boats). There are so many things to do and see, we found out that asking taxi drivers for places to visit is useful.

This was our least favorite Island and if I were to return I would fly in and out of San Cristobal and skip Santa Cruz altogether. However our yacht to North Seymour probably can only be done out of Santa Cruz.

Puerto Ayora is a place where you can enjoy the nature and have the facilities of touristic places like different restaurants, bars, etc. Unfortunately, because of those facilities the fauna has gone to other islands like San Cristobal so that is a downside, but if you go with family it is a great place to get a screenshot of what Galapagos is.

A small but beautiful city.
A small but beautiful city. It was a fishing village but has been transformed to a tourist town. The main street -- Ave. Charles Darwin, is full of life, literally -- sea lions, iguanas, pelicans, etc. It's an adventure like no other.

Great location in Puerto Ayora with many restaurants, bars, and stores within easy walking distance. The port/pier is also very close. I booked 2 nights and changed rooms after the first because it wasn't the room I had reserved and paid. Both rooms were very spacious, second room had refrigerator and small balcony. There was free filtered water at check in area.
Great apartment to rest after a day of exploring Puerto Ayora. All the necessary facilities, space to hang clothes in the front, and A/C. Luckily, we had the place to ourselves. The apartment is within a local neighborhood further from the town center, but it allowed us to remain active and see other things as well.
Cheap and basic, budget-type hostel. Very close to the beach and port, few minutes by foot. Room was cleaned daily, not always done in such places. A/C working well. Internal patio with public fridge and small kitchen. Not a very pretty place, but cheap comfortable base in expensive Puerto Ayora.
Very friendly hostess Patty, spacious room, great breakfast, location is perfect if you do not want to be in the middle of the busy center of Puerto Ayora.
