The peacock garden is such a unique experience. We loved the different areas to eat meals - breakfast in a cozy cottage building overlooking the peacock garden, and lunch and dinner in a different beautiful building overlooking the garden. The staff went above and beyond to assist us when our luggage was delayed. Each night we returned to our room to find turndown service and a fire crackling in the hearth. We stayed at 4 different accommodations during the course of our 10-day tour of Ecuador and Galapagos and this was hands down our favorite. If we find ourselves in Ecuador again in the future, we would go out of our way to stay here again.

I love everything about this place and have stayed here several times!!
Big ex-pat community. Lots of English speakers and North American amenities. Lots of outdoor activities but be aware of and prepared for the altitude. Walking around cotacachi was very easy and fun to walk through neighborhoods. The local bus station has busses coming and going constantly so easy to get to neighboring communities.

Cute town. Had everything and more that you need.
Cute town. Had everything and more that you need. I didn’t realize how touristy it was actually. Lots of activities nearby, in nature especially. Make sure to eat early as the town shuts down around 7 pm in general.

Cotacachi is such a beautiful city, the streets are all clean, and the people is nice and helpful.
The views are all beautiful, specially in Cuicocha lagoon that really close to the city.
There are also lots of restaurants and beautiful leather handcrafted stuff.

I had been to Cotacachi twice before.
I had been to Cotacachi twice before. The last time was two years ago. I found that the town had improved with new facilities, it seemed cleaner than before and there were fewer saty dogs. It is a very nice little town with lots of expats which can be good or not depending on what you are looking for. It is a very quiet small town. There is not much to do after 5:00 PM but if you are looking for a nice place to relax, this is a great place.

Facilities are incredible. We enjoyed the amazing Spa, the gardens and chimeney spots with a great wine. Staff is very well trained to serve and make a perfect guest experience. Food is really amazing. The chef explained to us that he have been serving deliciousness over the last 30 years in the hotel. We felt very spoiled the entire weekend !!! Also you will enjoy nature with huge gardens with peacocks, birds and frogs.
It was a great experience to stay here and to get to know a bit more about rural life in a small community close to Cotacachi. The food was delicious and the room was comfortable. The familiy is very welcoming and helpful. Thanks a lot!
The location is ideal, near the heart of old Cotacachi. Very friendly and helpful family. The room with a view of the church tower is great and two of the others have good kitchen facilities. Cleean and comfortable.
Great place on the outskirts of Cotacachi, 10 minutes from the centre in car and in a really peaceful location surrounded by countryside. Rolando was very communicative and organised a very tasty breakfast for us
Nice old house, half of block from the Central Park of Cotacachi, really nice queensize bed and really clean rooms, hot water and good wifi and the staff was friendly.
