The joy of both Marstal and Ærøskøbing is that they are different, very different. There is an element of friction between the two, but for the visitor this is brilliant and the rivals should be happy for this variety. In these curtailed times the efforts of the Irish bar under Martin Foley to spark life in the square were admirable. Torvet with beer and music is a fantastic resource and should be a focal point for the whole island. Jake Green was singing live and his 7.15" rendition of Cohen's Hallelujah was outstanding, perhaps the best live version I've heard, and I was lucky enough to see Leonard in action.
The attention to detail was evident in every aspect. The entire house exuded a sense of comfort and relaxation. What truly set this hotel apart was Line’s genuine care and commitment to ensuring our stay was perfect. It's rare to find a hotel that can make you feel so at home in such a short time.
Ulla the owner is a “larger than life”-personality. So warm and sweet. The hostel is great, wonderful communal areas, everything build in high quality materials, stylishly decorated and kept superclean. Hostel-stay here is better quality than most hotels.
it’s a very nice old house in the middle of Marstal on Ærø close tobte habour. Clean and cozy. Everything we needed was available. A supermarket is in walking distance.
