The staff waited for me and were friendly, although I was very late due to problems with the trains.
The room itself is clean and well maintained. I really liked the bed.

This 4-star hotel is located on a small park in the heart of Weiden, 600 metres from Weiden Station, and provides an attractive ambience and excellent road connections.

Excellent hotel, couldn't fault it. A fabulous location right in the centre of Weiden. We arrived in some disarray on our bicycles and Julia in reception was extremely helpful with bike storage, a quick check-in, and a list of good eating and drinking establishments nearby.
Although a bit old but I bet this is the only proper 4 star hotel in Weiden with quite a spacious room and is super clean. They do have a phone in the room so that is great. Other hotels that I have stayed at, in Germany didn't have this facility.
Location is great right in the city center, parking garage across the street, however paying daily is a pain. The hotel should offer a pass for as long as your stay is.
