The room was charming and has an individuality to it. It stands out with its spiral staircase with living room upstairs. The bathroom equipped with jacuzzi and the hotel has a sauna. The place was in a nice location. Facitlites were clean and the owner was very friendly. He gave us a good buffer time to check-out and was very co-operative
The accommodation suited me well. I spent most days visiting local places of interest and particularly liked Lindau (on the Bodensee), Wangen im Allgäu, a fascinating old town with a brilliant market (Wednesdays), gorgeous old buildings and interesting street sculptures and fountains, as well as a very varied and entertaining museum, partly housed in the town walls. Lindau is well worth a visit and is quite elegant with a Mediterranean feel and some interesting shops, as well as the Old Rathaus and buildings round the buzzing harbour. Tettnang is also worth a visit if one is interested in history and architecture. An outing into the mountains further east is also worthwhile, with walks and other excursions (cable car) around the charming little town of Oberstaufen. Views of the Austrian Alps and the alpine flowers make it worth the effort, if you enjoy rambling. This is a good centre for a wide variety of activities.

Wangen, it is very old and pitoresque town.
Wangen, it is very old and pitoresque town. Town is amazing.There is many old houses, churches and town hall. Its necessary to see personaly. I really recommend to visit the historic part of the town.
Hotel has in its disposal hotelmat for external check-in during the night, when reception desk doesn' t work.
I actually appreciated that when I could make check-in in the time of my arrival at 23.00.
There is also free parking in garage and fresh breakfest.

The hosts were very helpful and friendly and Pepe the dog loved the attention! The hotel is quiet and relaxing and impeccably clean throughout. Our room had a large balcony with views of the alps to the left and was very well equipped. The breakfast was plentiful with excellent service to detail. We enjoyed the service of wine and beer with an ‘honesty box’ set up in the reception area. On waking, Easter Sunday, each guest had a chocolate Easter bunny placed outside the room which we considered to be a kind and caring surprise!
bit of confusion when we first arrived but the lady owner quickly arrived and checked us in and was really nice and friendly . room spotless and a short walk from the hotel into the centre of charming esslingen . we were able to keep our motorbike in the hotels garage / the lady had a bike herself ) . all in all a fabulous place to stay and esslingen really nice also
Everything. If I could add one little thing is a bit of local personality to the hotel, the lobby/ bar area is very generic, beautifully done, but you could be everywhere in the world. Add a little localness and you‘d have the perfect hotel. Great value for money.
