Location, staff, facilities, cleanliness, good food, good restaurant. I always appreciate family owned businesses. They always have that personal touch that reflects the warmth. And Schlossberg has it. A bit worried with comments saying that it's hot inside.. Just open the window. It's nice. Busy street? not really.. We only stayed 1 night, but would like to come back again. We enjoy driving through mountains.

Only stayed 1 night. Seemed like a nice village, quiet with a river running through it. Our hotel's restaurant was shut, on a Saturday night but fortunately there was another nearby which was very good.

The hotel is easy to find and has ample free car parking. There is a garage available for motorcycles but we opted to leave ours outside. The staff are excellent and speak good English. The rooms are very large, comfortable and well appointed. 2 minor gripes.
The restaurant was not open when we stayed but the hotel had contacted us and given us plenty of notice, and the restaurant they recommended, just a short walk away, was fabulous.
And there was no one there when we arrived. We had to wait 15 minutes before we could check in.
Staff phoned us on route to check our eta which was nice. Restaurant shut so could make alternative arrangements. On arrival, staff was very welcoming, providing us with a much needed beer and bite to eat. Room was comfy and clean. Reasonable choice for breakfast, scrambled eggs were fantastic! Plenty free parking opposite the hotel. Village location so nice and quiet. Ideal stop over on way to Bavaria
The food was excellent. All freshly cooked and plentiful.
Our dog was made welcome in both the hotel and the restaurant.
