I recently stayed at Gasthaus zur Krone in Bad König and enjoyed my time there. The hotel has a charming, old-fashioned feel, as the rooms are clearly from the 70s era. Though the décor and bathroom are dated, everything was clean and in working order. One downside was the carpet around the bed, which could really use an update. However, the friendly and attentive staff made up for this with their welcoming attitudes and helpfulness. The breakfast was also a highlight—generous and delicious, with a good variety of options. Overall, Gasthaus zur Krone provides a comfortable stay if you don’t mind a bit of vintage style.
