Landhotel Hirsch, hotel in Tübingen

Set in Tübingen, 19 km from CongressCentrum Böblingen, Landhotel Hirsch offers accommodation with a terrace, free private parking and a restaurant.

We booked Landhotel Hirsch after a previous visit to Bebenhausen when we ate at the hotel restaurant. As such we knew how lovely the village is and were aware of its location in relation to Tübingen. We enjoyed staying at the hotel this time and revisited their great restaurant. We will definitely use it again if we want to visit the Tübingen region but will ask for a different room next time as the one we were allocated had an unusual layout.

There was a fun atmosphere as the muddy brown river was full of people boating, and bands playing on some boats. Crazy bright flowers everywhere. And the town square was more beautiful than expected, and we almost missed it, thinking the bridge area was the main attraction. We ate at Barren Tapas and it was very good, and affordable.

Old town was very scenic and the authorities have gone to a lot of expense to make the town attractive. The flower displays were everywhere particularly on the Neckar bridge and very impressive. A vibrant centre with plenty of shops, cafes etc. We would certainly recommend a visit.

Tübingen is a historical university town near the edge of the Schwäbische Alb (a low range of forested hills). The old town is delightful, with numerous pubs, restaurants, and individual shops and boutiques (very few chains). Be sure to take a guided boat trip on the Neckar river!

Tübingen is one of my favorite cities.

Tübingen is one of my favorite cities. It's walkable, has lots of good restaurants, and lots of character. Eating out can be pricey, but there are lots of places to get groceries, or fruit and sandwiches during the day, and places in town and along the river to picnic. Best things to do include enjoying a favorite beverage in the square in front of the Rathaus, walking in the Schönbuch Nature Reserve, or a side trip/hike to the village of Bebenhausen and its medieval monastery-turned-royal hunting lodge. If you like boats, you can also rent a variety of them to explore the Neckar river, which runs through the town.

Tübingen is a beautiful little town about an hour south of Stuttgart. It has one of the most extensive and beautiful Old Towns in the area. There is a large variety of shops and eateries, including a good selection for vegan and vegetarian individuals. There are natural and historical sights to see in the area. For example, there are paddle boats, canoes, and stand-up paddleboards for rent as well as hiking trails in the area. You might also enjoy some of the castle and museum amenties offered by the university. I would spend at least two days in the area.

Dear Madam, Much appreciated for your hospitality when I was staying your hotel the whole last week. You and your family members are so kind. I’m quite satisfied with the services you provided. The food from both breakfast and dinner are healthy and delicious, the transportation arrangement is on time as planned, and the room service you served made me feel at home. Nice room, included everything that I needed. The view was great. This hotel is located in short walking distance from both the Tübingen translation as well as the Altstadt. There are a few excellent restaurants around - especially close to the Neckar river which is right around the corner.

The hotel has some parking places opposite and is very close to a bus stop which is convenient to visit the city if you do not wish to drive in, which can be quite stressful! The hotel is rather dated. Breakfast is only average.
