I was in one of the newer buildings behind the main building/restaurant. It appeared nearly brand new and the room was nice and spacious. The staff was very friendly and very accommodating when I made several special requests. The mattress in the bedroom was new and felt like memory foam even though I don't think it was. The breakfast was above average for a guest house like this. I highly recommend this location for the service, the facilities and overall experience.

Very friendly and helpful staff. I arrived late but the chef prepared sandwiches for me. The room was very clean. Good selection of tv channels. Plugs located where needed. Even had a small terrace to enjoy outside. Breakfast was excellent. Very good value for money.

I love a good German eiderdown and this fulfilled all expectations. The bed was very comfortable and the room and bathroom were up to-date but still charming and very clean. The restaurant at the hotel was good and very popular. A convenient location for a drive up north. Note that traffic in hamburg is heavy so if you're heading for the ferry to Denmark, leave in very good time.
