The apartment at Haus Bergruh is fantastic. It it cozy yet spacious and sparkling clean. We immediately felt comfortable and at home. The furnishings are modern and tasteful. The bed was comfortable as was the couch in the living room. Everything about the apartment says "you are home, so relax." The location is also great with fantastic views, access to shops, restaurants, and local sights. We particularly liked the easy access to nice day hikes.

The room was spacious and clean, equipped with first-rate furniture, well-lit, and the bathroom was basically following those standards. The breakfast buffet had very rich offerings and something for every taste, including a generous vegan section at the breakfast bar. The location is clearly a bit off the beaten path but that's why you go there in the first place, but still close enough to Freiburg to enjoy the offerings of a first-rate destination. The staff was very courteous, helpful, and accommodating. The SPA is also well-equipped and with a nice view of the surrounding landscape. Electric car charging stations are also available. The surrounding nature invites for hiking, biking, running, and simply for enjoying the quite spectacular scenery. The dinners at the local restaurant were a delight and again, a good portion of the menu was dedicated to vegan offerings. The staff also took the time to explain the peculiarities of the wines from the region.

Nice and cozy hotel, beautiful views from the top of the mountain, stunning view from the restaurant during breakfast. Very comfortable beds, good heater in the room and there's also a tv. Breakfast was really great, nice variety, home-baked bread, egg, fruit salad, etc. The restaurant also serves dinner and seemed to have a nice menu, but it was closed on the day we arrived. There's free parking for guests. Great value for money.
