Breakfast was actually better than we expected, but as we were in a bit of a rush to catch a train we probably didn't take full advantage of it. Room was ok. There was nobody in attendance when we arrived , and it was a bit confusing obtaining entry at first, but we managed eventually. The reason I say we wont stay there again is that we are unlikely to visit Stolberg again. It's a place I have passed countless times on journeys by train into Germany, and I just fancied seeing what it was like.

The continental breakfast is very good, broad selection of breads, cheeses, meats and so on. Staff is kind and helpful, parking is really easy to find. Walking distance from Stolberg Castle.
Finally, the rooms are quite big.

Beautiful place and really nice service
We unfortunately spent little time at this place given that it was a one day trip to the Hurtgenwald, but we thoroughly enjoyed our short stay.
We arrived late due to road work and without speaking German. The staff was greatly kind and even prepared us a small package for breakfast as we left early the next day before breakfast time.
The restaurant is top notch and even though it was full, they took time to explain the menu -which was in German- to us.
Bonus point for the Christmas decoration adding a magical feeling to the place.
We highly recommand this place and we'll surely book a longer stay there if we come back in the area.

Spacious, all amenities were there, parking space, sauna, bath, comfortable beds, quiet, bakery and pizza place in town, friendly hosts, cozy, good instructions. We spent one night to visit xmas markets but could easily have spent more.

Comfortable stay at a great location! Well arranged by hosts. The sound of the river flowing by the property was relaxing. Loved the fact that there was some food in the kitchen upon arrival at the apartment. Hosts are easy to reach via messages.

The good thing about Stolberg were the very helpful friendly taxis.
The town itself is quite run down and the train station has no wifi so I had to ask someone else to call a taxi. The train lines were being repaired so there was a replacement bus service which was OK, but running late which meant the long wait at Duren train station as we missed the train due to the bus running late.

A wonderful old town, which grew up around the copper/bronze...
A wonderful old town, which grew up around the copper/bronze industry, using hydopower. The old town centres on the oft-rebuilt castle, which hosts concerts, etc. The floods of July 2021 devastated the town, which is slowly rebuilding itself. Around the town, there are many forests for walks. And a 40-minute direct bus ride to Aachen. There are sufficient bars, restaurants, bakeries, food stores, etc.

The hotel looked better in reality than in the photos! Lovely room with its own terrace. Wifi worked well. Ample parking in the street outside. I particularly liked the ample breakfast. Very helpful staff who could speak English. The old town is just down the road from the hotel and the old fort is worth a visit.
Excellent location to explore this region. The property was extremely clean and in top condition, everything worked perfectly. Location was quiet, very close to Stolberg, Aachen and Monschau. We would have no problems recommending to others. The owner lived below and never imposed in any way.
Everything was perfect! New clean and comfortable room, kitchen has microwave, toaster and kettle. I am delighted.
I would like to stay in this hotel for several days if it is located in another place (nothing to see around).
