I had a wonderful stay at the Park Hotel Hammerberg! The hotel is cozy and beautifully designed, with attention to small details that made my stay extra special. I really appreciated the thoughtful touches, like the shoe horn and the small sweets left in the room. The daily cleaning service kept everything spotless, which was a huge plus. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, always making sure I had everything I needed. Overall, it's a lovely place to relax and enjoy, and I highly recommend it!

The good thing about Stolberg were the very helpful friendly taxis.
The town itself is quite run down and the train station has no wifi so I had to ask someone else to call a taxi. The train lines were being repaired so there was a replacement bus service which was OK, but running late which meant the long wait at Duren train station as we missed the train due to the bus running late.

A wonderful old town, which grew up around the copper/bronze...
A wonderful old town, which grew up around the copper/bronze industry, using hydopower. The old town centres on the oft-rebuilt castle, which hosts concerts, etc. The floods of July 2021 devastated the town, which is slowly rebuilding itself. Around the town, there are many forests for walks. And a 40-minute direct bus ride to Aachen. There are sufficient bars, restaurants, bakeries, food stores, etc.
Very easy communication with hosts. The apartment itself is a marvel: very nice, warm atmosphere, a lot of wood, comfortable bed, fully equipped kitchen, modern bathroom. In fact, I recommend this place for a longer stay. It is nicely situated in the centre of Stolberg, and even if Stolberg is still recovering from the 2021 floods, it is worth visiting for its old centre and for nice natural setting. Good bus connection to Aachen too. Highly recommended!
Excellent location to explore this region. The property was extremely clean and in top condition, everything worked perfectly. Location was quiet, very close to Stolberg, Aachen and Monschau. We would have no problems recommending to others. The owner lived below and never imposed in any way.
Everything was perfect! New clean and comfortable room, kitchen has microwave, toaster and kettle. I am delighted.
