The staff was extremely friendly, and did everything in their ability to articulately communicate with me in English versus their native language of German.
The breakfast was amazing.
I was traveling alone, but was put in a standard double room at no additional charge. The room did not appear to have air making the windows open, but being that this is a small town or a village area there was minimal noise to interrupt my sleep.
The heating element in the bathroom was active, which was very nice being it. Allowed me to rinse out my clothes and dry before packing. This was an issue in our lodging at the prior city where we stayed, and it was significantly cooler and raining every day so drying out, the clothes before packing them was almost impossible.
The property is located in the heart of the small touristy district so plenty of things were in walking distance.
This region of Europe was experiencing flooding during my stay, which caused several of the businesses to close due to exposure to water. The staff gave recommendations as how to adjust my itinerary to accommodate this unforeseen weather event, which caused the river to overflow and travel with such swiftness, that the ferrys between the river all had been closed.

The rooms are modern and well kept. The Spa and amenities are also in good shape and pleasant to use. Overall the place is very clean. Location is great - Hikes like the Bastei Bridge Hike can be started directly from the hotel - no car needed.

The breakfast was simple, like most continental breakfasts in Europe. Nothing special but nice enough. We ate dinner there every night, and everything was fresh and tasty. I highly recommend the house-made hazelnut schnapps. I wish I could have bought a bottle. It is 150 meters from the small village center. We had nice drinks and cakes there.

Just take care about the restaurant and Cafe - not so friendly - almost every is reservations needed, but for the fisrt evening, when u didn’t know, how all is working.
No real shopping on site - need car to get to the next supermarket!

Great walking opportunities, rock climbing, floating down the river in a rubber boat. Train to Dresden was easy, and the river ferry to reach the station is included in the price. Too late in the season to try the exciting looking open air pool.
To rich the hotel from the train station you must use the ferry. The hotel itself was nice and the room was comfy. The water provided was a nice surprise, the lounge which can be used till late evening was a great addition were you can have tee/coffee for free and some snacks and drinks to buy, as cafes are closed after 8PM and some even 7PM.
The location is great to do some hikes to Bastei bridge and some other locations nearby.
- Located in the center of Stadt Wehlen, and was very easy to go from there to all main attractions in the area (with public transport)

I must say, although we were only able to stay for a small part of breakfast, it was lovely. The room is about what we expected and the location was perfect as that is the only reason we booked a place to stay in Stadt Wehlen.
Nice and cosy hotel beautifully located on a market square of a very peaceful town.
