The setting was beautiful. The rooms were lovely and very comfortable. Outside our door this morning was a chocolate Santa as it is Saint Nicholas Day, what fun! Staff were all very frienfly.

We had the perfect stay. The great weather added to the enjoyment of being here. Check-in and check-out were easy and smooth. The staff were overly kind and helpful. The food is excellent with a wide variety to choose from. They also had a menu of the season. They reserved a table for us each time we ate. The rooms are good size, clean and comfortable. Parking was no problem. Prices are very reasonable. I will return. I enjoyed walking the trails around the hotel.

We wish we could have stayed longer! The apartment felt just like home. It was clean, beds were comfortable and the breakfast was good. Check- in was easy and apartment looked just as it does in the photos. The owner was very friendly and Genia was very helpful as a translator between us and her mother. There is a restaurant and bakery within 3 mins walking distance. The stay here was very pleasant and the store they own was super cute with a great selection of products from the area. If I am ever in the area again, I hope it is possible to stay there.

We really enjoyed visiting the toy and the open air museum and the octagonal church where the pastor gave a talk about Seiffen‘s history. We ate at the hotel and the restaurant Holzwurm. Getting in & out of Seiffen is adventurous, since buses do not run often, but on time!

There were designated parking areas which were 10 Euro for the day. There is a fair amount of walking up and down hills. There are may different stores full of traditional Germany wooden Christmas items. The city is cute and the people working in the shops vary from super nice, to pretty unhelpful.
There was a woman who has a lace making store, Seifferer Kloeppeleck feine Holzhunst, where she took time to show my husband and myself how she handmade many beautiful items. Also, We found the best prices for nice quality pieces at Glueck Auf Haus. Both stores are on Jahnstrasse.

Overall the place is great. The single room was clean and comfortable and had enough space to settle in. The breakfast buffet was exceptional and it was nice that they provide activity recommendations for the day at each table each morning. It's right in the center of town and is very convenient for visiting all the shops, sights and to catch the bus. I ate 2 dinners in the hotel restaurant which were fine, but nothing exceptional.
This was my second visit in the last 18 months and you can't fault this exceptional property.
I has a very warm and friendly atmosphere and staff.
The breakfast is the best you could ask for and the lady who services the breakfast bar is well on top of her job.
The hotel is perfectly placed in the town , no need to use your car everything is within easy walking distance.

Friendly welcome. In the heart of Seiffen. I did not know that Seiffen is a centre for the manufacture of wooden toys, Christmas ornaments and other wooden art items. A Mecca for lovers of wood art. Spielzeughof is an ideal location if you are visiting. Sumptuous breakfast. I recommend also the Holz wurm for an evening meal.
I always rate a hotel on breakfast, coffee, and shower quality. All three were above average! The breakfast was delicious and fresh. Coffee was hot, freshly brewed not instant! The shower pulsated, with hot water! Perfect way to start the day!
A very cosy hotel in the middle of a beautiful area for hiking and indulging in hand crafted christmas decorations.
