We had the sauna room with balcony overlooking the schlei- stunning view and beautifully quiet location with walking trail around the schlei. Do note- this hotel is a decent walk from restaurants and shopping/services and requires a bus or taxi due to distance from train station. Very clean, well decorated room, comfy furniture, excellent bed and bedding. Even the sofa bed was comfortable for two people. Spacious, brightly lit. Provided water, glasses, robes, extra towels, candles and scented stuff for bath/sauna, all arranged/presented very nicely. Rotating TV allowed for viewing on sofa or bed- very clever. CAVEAT: This would be an ideal room for a romantic couple but we stayed in it as a family because 4 person accommodations in Schleswig were hard to find. There is absolutely no privacy between the sauna (with window onto room and main exterior view), the freestanding tub in the middle of the room, the sink area and shower. Not a fault of the hotel, but travelers other than couples should be forewarned: Showering and dressing for a married couple with girl and boy teens took immense coordination.

I love Schleswig and have been here many times to visit family. It is not too big and not too small, with a lovely waterfront, beautiful cobblestone squares, the ancient fishing village of Holm, the historic Schloss Gottorf (castle), and - very near to where we are - the beautiful St Petri Dom, a huge old church whose spires overlook most of the city . Schleswig also has easy access to Kiel, Luebeck, and even Hamburg, by train.

Ich denke es ist wie bei vielen Orten,entweder man mag sie,man verliebt sich in all die wunderschönen Facetten dieser Stadt oder es passt überhaupt nicht.Persönlich habe ich schon vor dem Tag der Abreise alles vermisst und wünscht mir mehr Zeit an diesem wünderschönen Ort.Beim nächsten Mal würde ich mich mehr trauen,gleich die Menschen hier anzusprechen,um diese mit ihrer Stadt näher kennenzulernen und auf deren Empfehlung zu höhren,bezüglich des Vorschlags wegen dem Essen.

A most beautiful stay in Kerstins lovely B&B! She was so welcoming, and everything from breakfast to location and the garden and the rooms was so wonderful. The small shared livingroom is also very cozy. I can’t wait to come back again - and I could see other guests had been there several times as well. When going to Schleswig this Old part of town is so romantic and beautiful - and Kerstins B&B has the best location.

We received a warm welcome from the owners and they were really helpful. The apartment was very clean, comfortable, spacious and tastefully furnished with everything we needed. It was in a quiet residential location on the edge of town but took only 15 minutes to walk into the centre of Schleswig.
