Good and comfortable stay at the hotel. The location is just in the center of the small town St. Märgern and also easily accessible to the Bundesstrasse 500 in few minutes by car. Staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast was good. Room were clean and comfortable. In all a good stay.

Breakfast buffet offered a good choice and several breakfast items were available on order and already included in the price. However lacking a standard in presentation as the number of items per dish changed daily, e.g. one day eggs were served with mushrooms on the site, another day without although stated on the menu as included. One day 3 sausages in the dish, another day only 2 sausages.

Outside of Freiburg, in a quiet little town, the small hotel was welcoming and friendly. Isabel was helpful and cheerful. The room was fine and there was a very good shower. The breakfast was exceptional and there were even vegan options.

it's always cold at night, we personally had rainy days in the mid of August.
The problem there is that everything is closed at 18:00 PM and you can't find any place to buy your basic needs
there are no pharmacies, stores, laundry places, or small restaurants (Pizza, hamburger..)

Cute mountain town with plenty of hikes and views for a long weekend. Only 15 minutes from lake Titisee and Feldberg Mountain. Monastery in town was worth a visit and it has a killer view for sunsets. Black forest water falls nearby too.
My husband and I loved the property, it had all the amenities we needed for our short stay. The hosts are lovely too 😊 the location is good, close to places like Titisee Lake and Freiburg city. We loved the views over Sankt Margen.
Staff is very kind, the hotel is very accesable and clean looking. The rooms are very comfortable and also very clean. Breakfast was very sufficient and everything seemed to be fresh. Would recommend
