Loved the hotel location - and the staff are superb. On site restaurant is very good and suited our requirements perfectly. We had a problem with the heating in our room - it was on and couldn't be switched off on what was a very warm evening, but this was quickly resolved very efficiently by the staff on duty.

Location was good. Near downtown, bakery and grocery store. Lots of restaurants. Definitely try Asia Wok. Instructions on access were good.

The hotel itself is located in a beautiful surrounding, and we received a warm welcome. While it may be a little dated it was clean and had some charm. My first disappoinment was in the spa area, where only one sauna and steam room was in operation, the other sauna was off, and the plunge pool was also out of service. I had booked this particular hotel because of the nice looking spa, something my partner and I truly enjoy. When I brought this to the attention of the manager I was met with complete indifference, and told that this was normal to not have all of the spa facilities open.... But at the same time I also expressed my disappointment with the room we were given (overlooking the staff court yard) where on the first day we were woken by some builders putting up scaffolding, and the second by a member of the staff cutting their nails right outside our window at about 8am. I would understand that we would be given this room if the hotel had been full, but it was clearly at about 30-40% occupancy. The complete indifference by the manager when I raised this with him was quite shocking, no apology, no explanation as to why we would have been given such a bad room, and worst of all I had booked this hotel for my partners birthday and had mentioned this at the time of booking. Overall we did enjoy ourselves here, but still left disappointed by the lack of professionalism from the manager/owner. The breakfast selection was good.
This family-run, 3-star hotel is beautifully situated amid hilly countryside in the village of Eulenbis, in Rhineland-Palatinate
The Hotel & Landgasthaus Pfeifertal provides comfortable accommodation...

Good food at reasonable prices, friendly staff, good car park, nice room and bathroom, plenty of good walking trails directly from the hotel.
We loved the area. Lanstuhl Castle our favorite with trails to walk, met interesting people, great view, touring the Castle, and their restaurant was lovely, good service, and had great food. We went to the castle twice. Hot Apple studrel with vanilla ice cream 1st day and a meal for the 2nd day. Delicious. We also went to Kusel and Queidersbach.

I like the area, I've been here before and will go back. I like going to the Rhine, and sitting there looking at the ships going up and down.
I'm going to be trying to go back in December so I can visit the Christmas markets, Ramstein is a good place to start trips to places like Saarbrucken and Heidelberg.

My only real complaint was the weather. Most of the time I was here, 3rd week of May, it was cloudy and rainier and colder than I expected.
The people are friendly and it was easy to get around by train from Ramstein Village.
I've been here many times before, and want to come back.

I went to the Ramstein area to do Christmas shopping and do some exploring. I like the area and have been there before and want to go back.
I went by train from Ramstein to the Rhine River at St Goar and did some shopping, crossed the Rhine on the ferry to St Goarhausen where I had an excellent meal at a restaurant that overlooks the Rhine and all its varied traffic.
I rode the train to Saarbrucken to go to the Christmas Market and had a good time.
Getting around by train is pretty easy, but make sure you can read enough German to understand train schedules and changes to time, platforms and tracks.
The weather during my visit was cold, cloudy and rainy, but that is typical weather for Germany in the winter and early spring.

Price is perfect for a very short stay (2100-0730). The hotel accommodated my late arrival close to 2100. The room was very clean. It had soap, and towels. There was a small fridge (I didnt use). My room (#3) had nice patio. The bed was comfortable. I appreciated the rolladens.
Comfort beds, very clean room and shower. Very quiet hotel (if the windows are closed). Gasstation nearby to get some snacks and drinks. Staff member were friendly. 5 min walk to Big Emma restaurant and close to Ramstein Air Base main gate.
