The structure was new. The room was quit chill. That is it.
We have been staying at this hotel now since 1994 and stay here most years. We like everything about this hotel. It is in the perfect location for our travel interests, it is in a lovely village with nearby places of interest but mainly we come because the owners are so welcoming and kind, the food is delicious and all the different rooms we have stayed in over the years have been comfortable and suited our needs. When we ran an escorted motorcycle touring company we always brought our groups here as they loved everything about it too.
The Gasthof is located 15 minutes drive by car from Bamberg, no bus connection available. Its quite spot in a small village however next to the hotel there is a huge grain mill, so don't expect countryside view but kind of industrial neighbourhood instead. Room was clean and tidy, breakfast served in the morning was OK.
Nice traditional Family run Hotel & restaurant, the restaurant was closed but they cooked dinner for us anyway, food was very good & a nice breakfast, very hospitable Family, would definitely return
