° only 2/3 restaurants in the little village - the close very early and you have to pay cash. We ate in a small café at the entrance of the village on the left - very good food, bu basic - no desserts possible
° nice surroundings, un happily we did not have the time to visit but we will next time!

Peitz is a small country town and accommodation facilities...
Peitz is a small country town and accommodation facilities are limited. The accommodations I had were more than adequate for my needs but lack any on-site or nearby service staff. The accommodation is owned by someone that has an eaterie 2+ Kilometers away (keys must be collected from here first).
Peitz has no railway station as such not even a platform just a tin shed used as a shelter from the elements. There is also no taxi service available in Peitz, the nearest taxi service comes from Cottbus 20 kms away! The accommodation provider did not advise me that if I wanted to be collected from the railway station and delivered to my accommodations I was to let them know in advance. I received this information too late and after I had commenced travelling - it should have been provided at the time of booking.
