It’s the old shipbuilding property. It was cool to see all of the history of the building and area. It was in a great location and was easy to walk to shops and restaurants.

Papenburg was nice but we felt one day was enough. There is a nice pedestrianised area along a canal with shops, bars and restaurants. There is a park and also a large lake close by. We felt that if you are looking for a quiet couple of days away it would be ok. We had a fantastic dinner in the pedestrianised area at Restaurant MediTerra, and had fish of the day, whole grilled seabass, it was reasonably priced and the staff were lovely.

Wonderful hotel surrounded by beautiful surroundings. Very nice people both at the reception and in the restaurant. Very spacious rooms. We will definitely choose this accommodation again on our next visit to Papenburg. Everything absolutely perfect!
We were greeted by an overzealous friendly receptionist. - within no time you could be friends with her if you wanted to. ;) she made sure we were settled in well. the hotel is very classic and serves it's purpose. The breakfast was also fine.
Location of the hotel was perfect. During the stay, really enjoyed the breakfast and room was comfortable to sleep. Very spacious room with twin bed and desk. Staff were helpful at the restaurant
Room was great. Third floor. Balcony. Great view. Everything worked as it should. Staff were multi lingual. Special thanks to Julien the bar manager who is a great asset to the hotel.
