We have stayed here several times when in the area. This time we had a newly renovated room with a big bath. Very clean facilities. Slept well, quiet rural location. Nice staff, too. The Landgasthof is worth a detour because of the excellent restaurant with decent prices.

We booked this hotel because it is only a 6 minutes car ride from the Emil Nolde museum and adjacent gardens that we visited that afternoon.
After dinner we drove the car in the area and drove to the seaside where we parked the car. Through a gate we could enter an area along the sea-dike that is a Unesco nature reserve. It was a beautiful sunset. On the way back we saw a deer in a corn field and later some rabbits running around in a grass field. Lovely nature in this area.

The hotel is located at the edge of the village of Neukirchen. We had a room in the annex which served its purpose well. The breakfast was extensive. We also had dinner in the restaurant which was hearty north German fare. I would stay there again.
