Lovely host, so helpful and cheerful. Most wonderful breakfast with everything you could possibly want. It was beautifully clean and in such a lovely quiet location with nice views over the fields.
There is a EDEKA supermarket just up the road towards Neuharlingersiel [the souvenirs are much cheaper than in the tourist shops. Neuharlingersiel is not far and is a beautiful old fishing port, with the most atmospheric old Pub/Cafe at the top end of the harbour, with live music on the week-end. Also a ferry to the islands [quite expensive though]

It is a typical 'siel' harbour town. Most places have free parking but the seils have expensive car parks. The harbour is very interesting and there is a stall serving local fish rolls whch are well worth a try. It is a pretty little fishing town but I imagine it woudl be really busy in the summer hols as Germany doesn't have a lot of coastline. Bensersiel is the setting for the famous Riddle of the Sands film but in the ten yearas since we first visited it, it has changed with fewer fishing smacks and less cahrm.

The kindness of the host and the cosiness of the apartment made the stay a pleasure. Although it is not in walking distance to Neuharlingersiel this developed to a pro because of some rainy days and the inherent possibility to enter into the own car for changing or getting rid of some luggage became a very welcomed side effect.
The rooms were excellent and very spacious. The breakfast was wonderful and offered a broad range of things. The hotel's location is great proximity to the Neuharlingersiel harbour as well as other amenities (e.g., restaurants and grocery store)
Beautiful hotel in a great location right next to the harbor. The beach was less than 5 minutes away by foot. The room was well-designed and comfortable. The staff were accommodating and checked us in even if we were rather late.
Great choice of good food for breakfast
Comfortable rooms with separate rooms for each bed, so my son had his own room
2 mile walk or drive into Neuharlingersiel, to see the port or take the ferry to the islands
