The hotel is located close by to the train station and just a few steps away from public transport.
You will be greeted by a very friendly and welcoming lady at the reception and you will immediately see that the whole hotel is kept in a very well maintained condition.
The room offer enough space for either work, sleep or have a good bath and although there wasn’t AC and was quite hot outside, the temperature inside remained quite comfortable. One can open the window, but depends where the room stands, you might get street sounds from the alley of the more noisy street, nevertheless I was able to have a good night sleep. The bed was actually very comfortable!
The bathroom offers enough space and the furnishings are tip top. The was hand soap and shower gel, towels naturally included.
I wish I had found this stay before other private (worse) apartments which I have booked before in the area!
Breakfast can be ordered separately, but just outside the hotel there are many options to choose from.
Definitely a well worth stay here and I hear there’s also a garage to store bikes in case you come for a rightly deserved vacation!

Waterfront area is hyped as a great place to hang out but wasn't really much. The Altstadt is unremarkable. Walked down the main pedestrian street in the evening and felt that it was now just a place for people to ride scooters and hang out. Not very pleasant. Riding bikes to the train station in the morning---unbelievably badly marked. Would not plan to go back.

Mullheim is mostly a commuters town.
Mullheim is mostly a commuters town. It does not offer much by itself. Our primary reason to stay here was to save money but it turned out it wasn't exactly cheap to say the least. You also need to realise that on Sundays almost everything is closed.

It's a quiet town so don't expect pumping night life.
It's a quiet town so don't expect pumping night life. You can walk about safely and the locals are very friendly. There is a good mix of food options and services. A car is needed for easy connections to other parts of Germany.

Nice clean modern rooms. Good breakfast spread. Very helpful man at reception who lent me his personal charging cable after I forgot mine and the battery of my phone was about to die. Also advice where to get a cherap replacement cable in Mülheim. Lovely refurbished Mülheim waterfront with loads of restaurants 2 minutes walk from the hotel
Location was great for unobtrusive stay, hotel and restaurant were very convenient if one didn't feel like exploring. Tram was close by in case someone wanted to explore, but main town was some way off.
Convenient hotel with self check in. We had 2 large connecting rooms (upgraded from the family room we booked), which were comfortable. Self service drinks and snacks were nice.
