Location to the train station could not get closer. Walking distance to shopping and museums. Quite clean and had AC when it got hot and sticky in the city.

What I loved is that we were taken care of so wonderfully. We had originally been given a room on a higher floor and after check in we were offered a room on a lower floor so it would be easier to get to and from our room. We had no physical need for a lower floor and we were only going to be there one night, but still we were offered the change. This is great service, our accommodation changed for our comfort and without us asking. That was wonderful. Also, my German is horrible and the man checking us in did not speak English. His friendly nature and alot of hand gestures and his patience with my bad German made check in free of stress. The location of the Hotel for Kassel was perfect for everything we wanted to see.

We had a wonderful experience at this beautiful family hotel with exceptionally friendly staff. Upon arrival, we were greeted by the family dog, which added a lovely touch to our stay. We booked a standard suite but got a sweet upgrade to the deluxe suite, and it was so comfy and gorgeous. You can tell they put thought into every little detail, and there was even a nice welcome note from the staff waiting for us on the table. The vegetarian food at the restaurant was amazing too! We loved our stay and will definitely remember this place.

The room was one of the cleanest rooms I’ve ever stayed in. There was no “corner dirt” on the floor, the walls were spotless, and no mold. I had a shared bathroom and that was also very clean. It was 10-15 minutes from the train station, and all the main sites in the city were easily walkable (I am in my late ‘60s). The area was quiet. The breakfast, extra cost, was good and included eggs, meat, cheese, orange juice, rolls, coffee, and cereals.
