This was a hotel I booked for an overnighter on our way back home from our vacation in Austria. I thought, just a simple little hotel not too far from the autobahn. Boy was I in for a surprise.
The village is tiny and quaint. Very quiet and rustic feeling but in a good way if you're in to that kind of thing. I loved it. The hotel itself was easy to find, ample parking and very kind staff. The hotel itself feels very much like a hotel you see in the movies from the 50s, but the hotel itself is modern enough. But the atmosphere and look of the hotel is awesome.
The room is very comfortable, large, good beds, good bathroom and everything is really clean. There is a tiny foyer with a fridge stocked with cool beers and sodas and some snacks. You can take what you want and pay using a small deposit box (it's built on trust).
But the most amazing thing in my opinion is the garden.. In the evening after dinner we decided to chill out in the garden and it's just wonderful. A simple, beautiful garden with some seats and lounge-beds. The setting sun, the waining warmth of the summer-eve, a cool beer and grass underneath your feet. It was a perfect conclusion to our vacation: this place really gave us the feeling we were still enjoying our vacation and I am very glad I found this place.
Highly recommended if you're into simple and quant hotels with a BIG relaxing atmosphere, quiet and rural charm. For an overnighter this was way more than I expected and it was very very very nice.

This is a very pleasant little hotel very close to the River Main and with a wonderful view over the river. The room was ideal for me and the bed was very comfortable. The breakfast was also very good.

This is a beautiful town on the main River that was very enjoyable to visit for a weekend. We did not even leave to go to Wuertzburg. There were lots of nice places to eat, the town is just fun to walk through and to do a little shopping.

Such a lovely hotel, with very friendly and accommodating staff, a delicious (and affordable) breakfast with a special dinning room where also dogs are welcome to join, which we very much appreciated. Rooms were clean and comfy and the whole hotel is decorated in a charming German style.
The location is great and close to some delicious restaurants with proper German food and cozy terraces where you can try some nice local beer.
It is my second stay in the Boardinghouse in Marktheidenfeld. The apartment is very clean and the facilities inside are very good. The location is also convenient, it is right next to a supermarket and a bakery, and there are some restaurants within a walking distance. Smooth check-in and check-out via the key safebox. Communication is easy, and the reservation team is very responsive.
Overall, it was a very comfortable stay.
A late reservation turned out fine: Good room and breakfast. To me the most important asset was the possibility to charge my electric car using a card supplied by the hotel. Next morning the battery was full and ready to go.
The hotel is very good, not overly modern but everything was there and worked.
The hotel is near the river and the center. It is easy to park, the hotel has its own restaurant.
