The hotel itself is located in a beautiful surrounding, and we received a warm welcome. While it may be a little dated it was clean and had some charm. My first disappoinment was in the spa area, where only one sauna and steam room was in operation, the other sauna was off, and the plunge pool was also out of service. I had booked this particular hotel because of the nice looking spa, something my partner and I truly enjoy. When I brought this to the attention of the manager I was met with complete indifference, and told that this was normal to not have all of the spa facilities open.... But at the same time I also expressed my disappointment with the room we were given (overlooking the staff court yard) where on the first day we were woken by some builders putting up scaffolding, and the second by a member of the staff cutting their nails right outside our window at about 8am. I would understand that we would be given this room if the hotel had been full, but it was clearly at about 30-40% occupancy. The complete indifference by the manager when I raised this with him was quite shocking, no apology, no explanation as to why we would have been given such a bad room, and worst of all I had booked this hotel for my partners birthday and had mentioned this at the time of booking. Overall we did enjoy ourselves here, but still left disappointed by the lack of professionalism from the manager/owner. The breakfast selection was good.
Offering a quiet location on the edge of Landstuhl, this family-run hotel features a traditional restaurant, and a beer garden with a stage for live concerts and events.

Loved the hotel location - and the staff are superb. On site restaurant is very good and suited our requirements perfectly. We had a problem with the heating in our room - it was on and couldn't be switched off on what was a very warm evening, but this was quickly resolved very efficiently by the staff on duty.
Set at the foot of the Hohenecken castle ruins in the Palatinate Forest, this hotel on the outskirts of Kaiserslautern offers comfortable rooms and regional cuisine.

Fantastic breakfast. Beautiful location and really comfortable beds.
Landhotel Schuff is situated in the town of Kindsbach, and is a 1-hour drive from the centre of Mannheim. The hotel offers free WiFi and a garden with terrace.
Annmarie was a wonderful host! I’ve never had a host as caring and concerned about the comfort of my stay. The apartments are in a terrific location, close to many shops and restaurants, yet very quiet inside. The bed was amazingly comfortable and the bed linens were luxurious. Be sure to check out the local eateries- Oscar’s Irish Pub is a short walk and has delicious Beef and Guinness Pie. 9Chun is an Asian restaurant located around the corner and has a large menu however it was closed for the holidays during my stay. If you want a great cup of coffee and a fun place to relax, be sure to stop by Rhema Café. They have so many delicious warm and cold beverage offerings. Overall had a wonderful stay and would highly recommend!

Town is nice and quiet. It’s walkable.
Town is nice and quiet. It’s walkable. Close to the train station. People are nice. Restaurants don’t open until 5pm, so you may need to find a cafe for lunch. Stores close early and most businesses close Sunday and Monday. The buildings in town are beautiful. I was able to walk around town after dark and I didn’t feel uncomfortable. A lot of people speak English in town. I was able to have Italian dinner are German dinner in town both were delicious. The cafe bakery Barbarossa is amazing!

A nice, little town nestled in the foothills of the Pfalz.
A nice, little town nestled in the foothills of the Pfalz. Lots of restaurants and bars to choose from. Convenient train station and at least one 24-hour gas station. And there's a castle at the top of a narrow, windy road, with a great restaurant along the way.
The hotel and our room were clean. The breakfast was your typical European spread. It's located right next to Nanstein Castle. Typical European mattress: not memory foam, but also not rock hard.
The property was very well kept up and clean. The location was nice and quiet. We enjoy our stay each time we drive to Landstuhl and definitely recommend your stay here.
