Hotel Deutscher Hof, hotel in Trier

In the heart of Trier, this hotel features large rooms with hot drinks facilities, as well as free WiFi. The River Moselle and Römerbrücke Bridge are an 8-minute walk away.

Hotel Deutscher Hof is located right on the edge of Trier city centre. Therefore, Deutscher Hof Hotel is a perfect starting point for your city exploration, especially for pedestrians (Trier is a super-friendly place with perfect space balance for all - pedestrians, cyclists and drivers). All the monuments, restaurants and cafes are in a short walking distance. The main train station is 20-minute-of-sharp-walk far from the hotel. The public transport bus stations are both about one-minute away. Despite the fact it's just next to the one of the main city centre inner roads, the building with rooms is located in an inner courtayrd where there were no signs of traffic noise. The gas station with a limited offer of supermarket goods is just opposite the hotel. I was in a positive shock how professional, helpful and super-nice hotel staff was (special thanks goes to a young lady with glasses who was responsible for an evening shift on January 29, 2025). The room was clean, the cleaning service great. The Single Room Comfort option contained the electric kettle with an instant coffee and some teas, the hairdryer, the small vault and the modest ironing facilities, which I found very helpful. The laundry service might be also provided on demand (no personal experience under my belt). My satisfaction was at such level that I decided to buy one more night in this hotel.

This hotel lies in the heart of Trier, close to the Old Town. It is just a 6-minute walk from Trier Cathedral and 900 metres from the Porta Nigra.

During January the heating was great, and it was very warm in the room. The personal was awesome. The location is exactly in the center.

Nicely located for a range of leisure activities.

Nicely located for a range of leisure activities. The town itself is slowly recovering from its dreadful high water experience a couple of years ago now, and has improved much already from when we stayed there a year ago. As is often the case in Germany, good for cycling. Well-placed for some fantastic walks in the Southern Eiffel area, with the city of Trier a 20 minute train/car trip away, and easy driving to some beautiful parts of Luxemburg. For those coming from the UK, using a car, it was a straightforward 5 hour drive. For those who want to drive further from the property some beautiful visits to Mosel towns and historic sites are do-able.

    Walking routes are very accessible.

Walking routes are very accessible. Restaurants and a supermarket as well as a couple of hotels and B and B gives you plenty of choice. The hourly train service into Trier is very quick and not costly and means that you do not always need to use the car.
