We stayed in the attic flat (the one with the double bed). It was quiet, and definitely big enough for a couple, as long as you don't need huge amounts of privacy. It's also just a few minutes walk from the S-Bahn (train) to Berlin. Good value for money!

There are stores nearby but I don’t think this makes a difference becuase this should be an only-one-night-stay. The room and bathroom are very very small, and like most of the places in Berlin there is no A/C. So I don’t recommend to stay more than a night.

An excellent little hotel in a lovely town. We choose to spend a night here while on our way to Sweden, rather than go into Berlin. The place is charming, the rooms are clean and comfy the breakfast was perfect and the staff were super friendly. We had a baby cot in the room for our kid and there was still enough space to move around. There were also some good food options in the same area. You should expect some airplane noise if you like to have your windows open (couldn't hear it with the window closed), although it did seem to pause between midnight and 7 am. Overall very happy with the experience.

The serenity of the hotels surroundings was a welcome reprieve after spending a few days in Berlin.We would definitely stay at The Waldhotel again.
Lovely hotel. The staff were able to check me in despite my delayed flight meaning I arrived after 11pm, which I was very thankful for. Facilities themselves were good. Everything was clean. Only stayed one night but would happily have stayed longer and explored the surrounding town.
