There is not much happening in Klais, other than a few walks or cross country skiing in winter. Now in autumn it is a lovely, quiet base for all sorts of excursions in the vicinity. Mittenwald and Garmisch Partenkirchen are only a few km away.

Klais is very small village, there is nothing, no bakery no shops.
On the other hand it is very quiet and just a short drive to Garmisch.
Some hikes can be started directly from there.
There is a train and a bus station.

Room sizes were fine and the restaurant was excellent (both breakfast and dinner). Staff throughout the hotel and restaurant were most accommodating. Location was convenient to both Mittenwald and Garmisch area.
The hotel is very cozy and vintage, everything is covered in flowers. Staff is very attentive and helpful. The restaurant was an amazing experience, taste and food styling are exceptional.
