The location, directly on the Rhine, is excellent. The breakfast buffet was plentiful and well prepared, but it was far too expensive. The room was clean and well equipped, but it was on the ground floor with windows that opened directly onto the parking lot. Being allowed to park our bicycles in the underground garage was very good.

We came for the Oktoberfest in Xanten; the Burg Boetzelaar was very affordable and nearby so the perfect location. We were pleasantly surprised by the other cities near Xanten; like Kalkar. Clean, Quiet, Friendly staff of the amenities there.
We're definately going back to stay there again. Would recommend it to anyone.
