Hotels near Holzmarkt

Our dinners at the Dali bar/restaurant were particularly enjoyable! Nice food/drinks, great service, pleasant mood and very nice live music. All the restaurants on side are great (we tried them over few visits) but the Dali quickly became our go-to for a relaxed evening. The spa is of course excellent, and we just love wandering around the hotel (treat yourself with a night visit of the library!).

Excellent proximity to the airport. The airport which is only one stop away from the Frankfurter Str. station, which is conveniently just a few minutes walk from the hotel. I arrived tired and in the dark so got a little lost at first, so for other travelers please note: There are exits on either end of the platform. From the platform, find and take the long, covered ramp down and hang a right towards the business complex, go up the stairs, and then the B&B is a little ways further, also to your right. If you find yourself looking at bus stops on a regular street running under the train tracks instead of a business complex, you've exited the platform the wrong way. Easy check-in. They have a kiosk for self check-in, but before I could even get started a friendly staff member arrived and help me get sorted and answered my questions. Clean, comfortable room with secure door. This spot won't win any awards for luxury but it is clean and comfortable enough, with plenty of outlets and decent private facilities. The shower is a little cramped but got sufficiently hot for me relatively quickly (which is saying something). The door is solid and offers a deadbolt, even traveling alone I felt safe in my room. Especially for the solo traveler price in a private room I was impressed with the quality and comfort. As a budget traveler, when I fly out of Cologne/Bonn Airport again I will be checking here first for availability if they maintain these competitive prices. No checkout required! I didn't have to worry about calculating time for a checkout into my early morning departure heading to the airport. Checkout is automatic so long as you're gone by the required time. Super convenient.

The location was great for us. We were around the corner from the train station and across the street from a wonderful nature path which took us to a large forest with walking trails, campground, swimming pool, animal zoo. Breakfasts were very nice with a great European buffet along with some egg selections and breakfast meats that also satisfy Americans. Great coffee!

Very quiet hotel and a good location with rail connectivity to Cologne and other areas. Very friendly staff and good facilities, as well as ample restaurants and supermarkets in walking distance. Great breakfast buffet.
