From the very first night, I was warmly welcomed by the receptionist, who was exceptionally courteous, accommodating, and patient with all my questions. His excellent command of the English language was a tremendous help in making me feel at ease and navigating my stay.

Though it was my first time for me, we were in Gießen for a yearly festival. We did some driving around in Gießen. The city is very attractive with beautiful shops, clean streets and very friendly people. Gießen is small but very neat and easy to get around city.

Hotel an Der Burg is located in a a quite part of the Town. I used public transport to go to and from the hotel and the bus stop was just a 2 minute walk away .
The room, in fact the whole hotel, was clean, tidy and warm. The bathroom was clean and the shower was hot and powerful.
The breakfast had good choice and the staff were helpful and friendly. On the day I left, I had to leave early for the airport so I had to miss breakfast and they kindly allowed me to take some food for a "packed lunch".
Perfect place, new renovated and well maintained. Very good restaurant - super choice to overnight close to Frankfurt. Pleasant personnel in the hotel.
