Gersfeld has changed so much since I lived there from 1976-79, it's hard to find anything I remember. The new by-pass and the way they changed the streets had me a bit confused. I guess that's just progress.
The hotel is located 5 minutes away by car from the ski resort Wasserkuppe. So great location. There's even a skilift in the village. We did appreciate the restaurant of the hotel for dinner and enjoyed the breakfast buffet. Altogether I'm really satisfied by the service, comfort and price.
The location was very nice. The apartment is in a brand new building in the center of Gersfeld. Gersfeld downtown is nearby. A parking lot is directly in front of the building. Finally welcomed us a bottle of champagne in the fridge - very nice.
