We only stayed one night. The room was exceptionally clean, but nothing fancy. The breakfast was a typical German breakfast with cereal, meats, cheeses, and breads. Very good, but not extraordinary.

Very uncomplicated service; friendly and helpful staff always available from early morning till late evening. Rich breakfast buffet in the mornings, good restaurant for the evenings. Good starting point for some interesting hikes. Public transport to Tabarz, Gotha and Walterhausen included in the stay (Gästekarte).
This is an excellent, cozy and atmospheric, traditional hotel. Very friendly owners. Beautiful view from rooms on higher floors. Parking is free for the guests and there are quite a few places available. The hotel is easily accessible from A4 for a sleep-over while travelling and Georgenthal is a beautiful little town worth a visit on its own.
Very nice hotel with nice staff. I also really liked the room, it was big enough and clean. For breakfast, you can find food for every taste. There is even gluten-free and lactose-free food, but I advise you to warn the hotel about this concern in advance. Small sweet gifts are also very nice signs of attention.
A lovely hotel in a beautiful village, with a superb lake and great Italian restaurant within easy walking distance. Probably the biggest breakfast buffet I've ever seen! And fantastic hosts - friendly, welcoming, chatty, couldn't do enough for us. We intend to return to explore the beautiful area more fully.
