The breakfast was amazing!! Ensure you pre-book the breakfast each day when you arrive as it is provided to order only. Amazing neighbourhood and very close to all amenities. Walkable from train station which is a bonus! I would definitely book here again. For the money, it can’t be beaten. I’ll be back.
Only down side was my room was annexed from the rest of my party and intermittent smell of weed coming from a neighbouring room :-(

The room was very spacious as the owner kindly upgraded me to a double free of charge. It was spotlessly clean and had everything I needed. The decor is pretty retro which I liked, and the staff were nice and friendly. Ample parking for touring guests.
The property is located right in the heart of Gelnhausen old town in a half-timbered historical building, which serves also as restaurant / pub.
The smell and atmosphere is typical of a nice tavern and you would feel immediately in the medieval Germany.
Wooden beams are featured in the building’s walls.
Our room had a nice view of the old town, moreover it was spacious and comfortable, ideally for a family of 4.
Breakfast was good and plenty. The staff was super friendly.
We come from Australia and were visiting friends that live in Gelnhausen so this was great for us.
The Loft/apartment was lovely, very spacious and clean.
The location is great - just on the outskirts of Gelnhausen's old town but takes about two minutes to walk to the old town centre.

Did not even make it for breakfast, as I left few minutes after seeing the room, and the place. I did not like anything of the place, it could not even call itself an hotel. Looks more like a massage parlour..
