Staying here has been one of our favourite holidays. The staff were very friendly and welcoming and everyone (including other, mostly German, guests) have made us feel very welcome with our 11week old baby. When he occasionally cried / winged at dinner, people would say “don’t worry, it’s just a special kind of music for us” <3 , made a week long stay with a young baby so much less stressful, it was truly wonderful.
The full board is a great value for money, great breakfast with lots of fresh bread and pastries, freshly squeezed orange juice, plenty of options for tea and coffee, lots of fresh fruit and hot cooked options as well. It also has a chef station where you can oder custom omelettes as well as pancakes! Lunch is a similar set up i.e. buffet and salad bar, and everyday there are different options which keeps it interesting if you’re staying for a longer period of time. For dinner, you have a delicious 5 course meal with your choice of main.
The Spa facilities are very zen and relaxing, done up to a very high standard. Both the indoor and outdoor pools are heated to 30 degrees with plenty of sun beds in the garden as well as inside. There are 4 different saunas, ice tray and scented showers, plenty of relaxing rooms including a Himalayan salt room and heated hung beds. You also get a free scrub and aloe vera cream to use. The Spa also has chilled water and apple juice on tap and a tea / coffee station. Treatments were lively and relaxing at a very reasonable rates.
The bedroom was very spacious, with very comfortable bed and overall a fantastic layout and design of the room!
The location is absolutely stunning, right in the middle of the Bavarian Forest, with hiking trails a short walk from the hotel. There are plenty of things to do, including a free zoo at Lusen, which is only a short drive away. A wonderful place for an active or relaxing (or both!) holiday.
Overall, we had an absolutely fantastic time and can’t wait to come back!

A well equipped hotel located in the center of Zwiesel. The staff is kind and friendly. The room was cozy and very spacious for its price.
In addition, the guest card (Nationalpark-Card) issued by the hotel is valid as a public transportation ticket near Zwiesel (railway and bus). I was able to save 24 Euros during my stay.

Difficult to get into restaurants in the area without a reservation. We got a reservation at one place and when we got there it was closed. Later, we found out it moved. Ended up eating at a Pizza place numerous nights because we could not get in to the other reastaurants because they were booked up all week. The pizza was great at the restaurant we ate at but we did not want to eat there so many nights in a row. We did not have a choice though.

Fantastic family run luxury hotel. The breakfast was outstanding. Great continental breakfast offering with everything you could hope for including fresh cut meats, fruit, cheese organic bread etc. Also you can have eggs your way. The rooms are very modern and spacious. The garden is beatifully kept and there are many private areas to relax. Most outstanding is the service though.
Great hotel centrally located in Frauenau. Breakfast was really good-- large selection of items to choose from--something for everyone. The bar/restaurant was really good. One of the best goulash dinners I ever had. The Biers were phenomenal.
