Ettenheim is an easy town to get around. There are facilities all arounds, restaurants, shops, grocery stores. There is a lot of history in the old town to visit ; the church and cemetery are a good example. A short drive can take you to other villages and where you can eat in local gasthauses.
The nature side of Ettenheim should not go unnoticed as many walking/biking paths take you all around to other villages.
It is also very close to go to Europa park (10km) which not only boast a very large amusement park but magnificent hotels where to grab a drink or a bite.

Very new hotel, near the A5, perfect for a one night stop during our travel. Very friendly staff. Fantastic breakfast buffet. Easy parking at the hotel. Free fresh water bottle so welcome with the heat.
Grear location, you can enjoy walking in Ettenheim, proximity to Europapark and Rulantica (10 mins by car), great service of the hosts. Great view and privacy. House is located on the hill.
