best price is a very budget hotel yet still the very best xp we had with one of those in a long time. The rooms were super clean and BIG. Everything was simple yet the best value. We arrived very late at night but a good service was prepared for us to retrieve our room keys even after reception had closed. Breakfast was very budget, once again, but still great value for money and a really nice start our day. The staff is hardly seen but that does not change that we felt well taken care off and I can only recommend them based on our experience. The beds were certainly the most comfortable in any of the hotels on our christmass/ NY journey through journey and that included some rather pricey options. Yet BestPrice Hotel had the best matrasses of them all. Close to the Autobahn too. We will keep them in mind for future travels.

Great place to stay as the locals are very friendly and not your stereotypical Germans. They are Rhinelanders and therefore have a great sense of humour and very jovial party goer types. They fully understand “British Humour “ and many love Monty Python(I was surprised to find out)…Eschweiler is in easy reach of places to visit like Aachen, Stolberg and Monschau and cheaper than staying in those places. Also the Hurtgen forest is close by if you’re into WW2 history.

Eschweiler is a small city on the outskirts of Aachen, which is approximately a 10-minute drive away on the highway. There isn't actually that much to do here, I would recommend this place mainly for sleeping, because it is orders of magnitude cheaper than Aachen, but you can very conveniently reach the Aachen city center by bus or by car. There are some good restaurants, though, we ate in an Italian restaurant called Pizzeria Schwan, which offered delicious pasta and pizza at a reasonable price.

Nice quiet small town with a good variety of shops & cafes . A pedestrian car free shopping area too. Nice & clean & tidy. It is about a 15 minute walk from the main train station to the town centre & slightly less from the smaller branch line station (Eschweiler Talhof). Both have frequent trains to Aachen. The main station also has 1/2 hourly trains towards Aachen (terminating) & Koln, going on through to Dusseldorf or Seigen. ( see " Bahn.de" for timings). There also seems to be a good local bus service although I did not use this. Taxis are available from the main train station.

Staying in Eschweiler is a good alternative for the more expensive hotels in Aachen. As city there, Eschweiler doens't offer a lot. Also good to know that Eschweiler has an environment zone. So technically you need a green sticker to enter the city.
Check in via automated terminal was uncomplicated. We had comfortable overnight stay during our long travel in a basic room on the ground floor. It was clean, had comfortable bed; we used heating control to achieve comfortable room temperature as it was rainy outdoors. Hotel is situated in the walking distance from Lidl, which compensated for no real eateries neaby. We had our evening grab to eat and drinks on the roof terrace with a surrounding nature view.
Location is good, just a couple of minutes from the A4 motorway. Room is a good size and themed as Greek, which is quite fun. The bed was comfy and pillows good (a pet hate of mine when travelling). The Greek restaurant is adjoined to the hotel and also serves as the breakfast room. Excellent for a lay-over when heading to or from Germany from the UK.
Good location for our needs - close to motorway easy in and out, perfect while in transit. Parking in front of the hotel. The rooms are nice and clean, pretty basic, but we do not need more for 1 night stay. Good value for money. It is our new favorite overnight stop.
