It all started with a very friendly welcome at the reception and a small explanation since it was our first visit.
Arriving at the spacious room (we received a free upgrade) we loved the colors used and we enjoyed a good shower.
We've travelled all over Europe and particularly like Germany, but the breakfast we had here was just great. It's not worth a 10, but an 11 (on the scale of 10)

The hotel was situated in the centre of this small town. It was lovely, with rooms which were very comfortable and rather nicely decorated. The bathroom was also lovely.

we travelled bi Motorcycle, .. the area is clearly visited by bikers and the owner allowed us to secure our bikes in the court yard.. it really was a fab stay and i will defo use again. perfect location, great food, great staff,

Very nice staff. My son wanted to play table soccer but we didn't have any cash with us. The lady at the reception desk had no idea how she could ad the needed 50 cents to our bill so she took 50 cents out of her own wallet and donated it to my son.
It was her first day on the job. Very kind of her!

A small village with a few restaurants and hotels. There was no supermarket, but not too far to drive to one if you needed to. On a lovely river, with beautiful surroundings and easily accessible to walk in the Eifel National Park. We did miss better options to eat out other and we missed a supermarket just to buy basic things in the village, as well as a bakery.

The area is very beautiful, and with the right weather, one can enjoy the nature, hikes and bike rides, as well as other activities.
The village itself is very small, and during the time we visited (April, rainy and cold week), it was almost empty. During this time, most restaurants were closed, and the few open ones closed early. So better bring some food with you when you come in such weather.
In addition to nature, there are some other activities that can be enjoyed, like: bath/spa places (we went to the one in Achen which was very good) and amusement part - Phantasialand. Just check reviews before you go, so that they will meet your needs and expectations.
All in all, this is a wonderful park, lots of amazing nature and very nice to walk around.

Excellent location with fantastic view from any window. We had a terras and made a BBQ right there. The hotel is near to the road, but it was very silent at the evening and night. The shower was clean and good. The kitchen was good equipped. Lots of good restaurants and cafes are around the hotel that worked also in public holidays. Free parking. The place was fantastic with beautiful walking routes that also fit for small kids and for strollers. We will back for sure!
The location is just perfect and the hotel's atmosphere is incredible. No problem to find a place to eat nearby, ideal start/end point for hiking. There is a place to bath and swim like a kilometer away, a boat trip pier almost next to the place.
