The hotel was very homey, very clean and quiet. At a nice and quiet location.
The host was extremely nice... helped us with our dinner at the nearby restaurant, as we came a bit late.
The breakfast was extremely rich and delicious.

No restaurants in the area. Need a cab and everything approx 10-15 min drive. Only reason we stayed there was to visit my husband's sister who lived in wolfen. Otherwise nothing really to do in Dorsten.

Reading the comments I had some concerns about this hotel. After texting about 2 hours later I got a reply with the access code. Despite my late arrival, the lady greeted us. She prepared a tasty breakfast the next day. The price per night with breakfast is really good and it's hard to find something in the area at a similar price.
Breakfast was good, but typical Euro, no fully cooked option. Rooms are good design with large bathroom and comfy beds. Location is quiet and a little out of Dorsten but no problem, with ample parking. New door lock system seemed to baffle the manager when we arrived, must have been very new! Feels new and is quite well designed.
One of the largest and best equipped rooms I have been in with more than enough cupboard space. Location is around 2.5 miles from the centre of Dorsten in a quiet village. We had dinner on 2 nights and the food was especially good and the restaurant was busy with locals. If we return to Dorsten we would stay here again.
The two staff were exceptionally kind, helping with my bike, arranging for a takeaway to be delivered and making sure I had as much breakfast as I wanted.
Room was very well furnished and included kettle and plenty of coffee and tea.
For the price this has to be one of the best value hotels I have stayed in.
