The owner was a great guy. He is also a great cook. It's a 6 room cozy hotel, about 6 miles from the city center, There is a taxi service that will take you into town for 5 Euros, you might have to wait a bit, but it is a fun ride out in the countryside. The stay was like meeting an uncle you didn't know you had. Great and friendly staff!!

Lovely hotel in a quite village, excellent for a a few days rest in visiting the area or for a stopover on a longer journey. Parking is easy in front of the hotel, the bakery on the corner is a great source for breakfast. There are several restaurants in the area, including in the hotel.
Wifi works well the room was big enough for a family with kids.

A decent small town with basic activities, well suited for the more senior traveller not interested in night activities. Neat and well kept with some lovely scenery. The localls have limited to no understanding of english. Many nice small restaurants and cafés around the town square. Lovely old churches to see as well.

Deggendorf is a small Bavarian town on the river Danube, about halfway between Regensdorf and Passau, along the highway. It has a small historical center with beautiful buildings, churches and some really charming squares. I did not know about this city, before we stopped here for one night while traveling through Germany, but I am very glad that we did. I think that it can be explored in about half a day, as it is not a big city, but it is very clean, charming and the surrounding countryside is beautiful. If you ever find yourself nearby, I recommend stopping here for a few hours to see at least the main square and church. There is a very good pizza and pasta restaurant by the riverside, where they serve the probably the largest pizza I ever received in a restaurant. I definitely recommed checking that out, the name of the place is Laurin.

Deggendorf is located approximately half way between Passau and Regensburg and is somewhat of a gateway to the Bavarian Forest. It is a pleasant, well-presented town with easy public transport access, including a train to Plattling (on the main line between Regensburg and Passau). In itself it is not the most exciting place we have visited, but we chose it because of its central location between/access to the other 2 cities nearby.

Fantastic Hotel, the bars and restaurants are good, people are friendly and helpful, lots to do in the day as well as the evening no matter what age group lively and real German atmosphere. Fantastic gentle walking areas along the river (all ended up in bars with a good time had for all)

I enjoyed walking to the town center and sitting at the outdoor cafes.
I enjoyed walking on the charming side streets which were full of Bavarian atmosphere. I enjoyed dining at two of the many restaurants.
Amazing hotel. The room was very clean, all needed utensils in the toilet, additionally extra towels for the spa area. We used the spa area - the heated rooftop pool is great as well as saunas. I was also amazed by the variety of food at breakfast. Very fresh and delicious! All in all hotel exceeded our expectations:)
The staff in the hotel was also very kind and nice.
Does what it says on the tin, its a well priced hotel with friendly staff. Decent rooms but you can tell there have been a few late night partues in the rooms. The location is great so easy to get to the centre of town for drinks and food.
Location close to the A3 highway was super convenient. The hotel is outdated, but that's what we expected based on the photos and reviews. Value for money is good.
It was great that there was a restaurant at the premises.
