The staff is friendly, helpful and speaks English (which is a must for an international hotel).
The housekeeping is very good and the cleanliness is good (except the floor of the elevator had stains on it which we saw day after day)

I had an international flight returning to the US, cancelled after a 3 hour delay, leading to an ensuing rush for all 300 or 400 passengers to find a hotel. There are a number of hotels in or near the airport in Frankfurt, but all of them were 500 to 1000 euros a night...not great when the airline's statement reimbursement limit was 400 euros. I found the Welcome Hotel in Darmstadt at a much more affordable price, well under the 400 euro limit. The hotel is very nice, the restaurant attached has an amazing gin selection and good food.

I liked the city, it's not the most interesting place on Earth, but it does have its moments - a Flohmarkt, Matildenhohe, parks in the centre of the city and a Bierkeller in the Rathaus - lively place with good and cheap food.

A wonderful city, with a beautiful appearance that is worth visiting. Having a bicycle, you can reach beautiful places. Modern but at the same time with a very well preserved old architecture. Fairly clean and with an ethnically diverse population.

Its a small town, not far from frankfurt airport so you can reach the airport in around 30 min on the autobahn. the town is basic, certainly not the prettiest town in Germany, but has a few decent restaurants and some walking areas around, and a couple of historic touristic places to visit which we could not unfortunately do, since the roadways in whole center area were closed off for some summer carnival.

Good restaurants (i.e. Sitte Restaurant) and breweries (i.e. Braustubl ones, Grohe, Ratskeller).
Very good public transport services, in Darmstadt and also from/to the Frankfurt Flughafen (Airliner).

We stayed over Christmas, visiting a relative who lives there. I found the German Christmas a much quieter and rather nicer season than the UK version. Of course we loved the Christmas markets, and went to the opera. It’s an easy place to get around walking or on the trams.

Great little town with lots of history surrounding it..you can see the original city wall from the 14th hundreds...I think it was build around 1425...if you have a car everything/town is easy to reach. Lots of castles and other historic sites are not to far to drive to.
The breakfast was good, they have good coffee machine all day for all the guest in the hotel breakfast area, the room is good size but the room cleaning process need to be more , the staff responsible for cleaning were not professional, the bed sheet not changed since we arrived to last day of stay. The towels need to be take care of they need to be inspected before keeping them in the room. The hotel near the train and bus stop also near the Darmstadt train station.
Location is fantastic. Most of the staff are lovely. Facilities are basic but everything is as described by hotel. Good value for money. Breakfast is small but plenty to eat. Being able to check out the night before is great for morning flights out.
Rooms booked for my Mom and Family. She liked that they were given connecting rooms. She said it was a nice hotel with good breakfast and it was easy to get to the Frankfurt airport.
The location was OK, close to the centre, although it was noisy in the night (the hotel lies on one of the main streets) because of the nightlife seekers.
