The location near from the train and the ferry is perfect. The breakfast was simple but ok. The restaurant was good, we enjoy variety of food. Everyone will find something. The accommodation was ok, but the furniture could be modernized. Employees of the hotel were friendly. It is not good for people with mobility problems. We stayed in the second floor and the lift went to first floor only. Everything was clean. We can recommend it.

The perfect place to stay the night before or after taking one of the ferries to/from the islands of Föhr or Amrum but also as a base for exploring the area - especially when travelling by public transport as the train station connecting Dagebüll Mole with Niebüll is a stone throw away. [Special note to the train geeks: the track even passes between the two hotel buildings - but to thos who are worried about the noise: the windows are so well insulated that the noise the train makes doesnt affect you much (the storm one night I stayed was much louder ;-)...).]
During my two (so far) stays I had both dinner and breakfast and the food was always delicious. If you are lucky to get a table by the window, you can watch not only the ocean itself but also the huzzle and buzzle of the ferry port (again, the windows being so well insulated, you wont get disturbed by the noises coming from the port).
From the restaurant there is an external door leading right onto the dike (a small shortcut compared to the "regular" hotel entrance on groundfloor level) - perfect for walks along the shore line (or accessing the train station and the port).
The rooms had a nice size as did the bathrooms. The beds were really comfy (I like it when the mattress is a bit harder). One peculiar thing that needs pointing out were the wardrobes in the rooms I stayed in: they can best be described as "his & hers" - each (equally sized) section equipped with shelves as well as a rod for hanging clothes. No need to fight for space when travelling as a couple. ;-)
Overall I can only highly recommend this hotel and I am looking forward to returning in the (hopefully near) future. :-)

I liked the mudflat hikes and the birdwatching.
I liked the mudflat hikes and the birdwatching. The Hauke-Haien-Koog was an amazing birdwatching spot. I loved hiking in the mud flats during low tide and swimming during high tide. We did day trips on the ferry from Dagebüll to Helgoland and to Amrum. Lovely! But we also could have stayed in Dagebüll. We did a bike tour to some of the neighboring villages to admire the Friesian architecture. It was very nice. We ate at almost all of the restaurants in Dagebüll. I liked the Hotel Neuwarft restaurant the best.

A nice hotel in the middle of the countryside and close to the lagoon. Very basic but excellent as a base for trips to the surrounding area. It is about a 15-minute walk to Dagebüll Kirche station, from where you can take the ferries to the islands. A tea kettle, cutlery, and dishwashing liquid are provided in the room.
Really enjoyed my stay at Pension Olen Sluus. Very friendly owners - welcoming, comfortable, and a nice restaurant which can be used by guests. I stayed as a base for a few days in the area to visit Dagebull and Sylt. Very nice vibe to the place, would definitely stay again.

Great hotel location between train and ferry transfer to and from the islands Foehr and Amrum.
The seafood soup was wonderful. Service was very friendly!
