Booked a room with a view and was not disappointed. The Fraueninsel (island) was a welcome sight from my balcony. (The hotel has a 24/7 "live" camera on YouTube! It's basically the same view I had from my room. I go to YT to enjoy the view in all times/season.) The bathroom was size of my living room at home. Spacious. WiFi worked as advertised. Excellent tourist information (English/German). The breakfast buffet was incredible. It was holiday season and quite busy, but you wouldn't know it from the peace and quiet. Just a few minutes' walk to the lake and the boat/ferry to the island. Hot water was almost instant. BIG plus. TBH there are a few hotels/pensions a bit closer to the lake if you want an unobstructed view. However, if you book the rooms with a balcony, you get a good view. Book *early* if you want to get those rooms, though!

There are small restaurants or places where you can eat however when we came there in October, many restaurants/activities were already in winter break. Unfortunately for us, we could not enjoy any of them but the lake is a great place to enjoy sun bath, pedalos, paddle, boat trips in summer time.
