This was our second stay with Hotel-Restaurant Früchtl. We were on a motorcycle tour through the region and enjoyed our first stay very much, so we came back. The restaurant offers a very good menu and wine selection for dinner, and breakfast is also excellent. Very clean, friendly staff and quiet.

Cham is a good place to go to see historical Regensburg for the whole day, and the other day a historical centre of Cham-Janahof was also nice to go through. This hotel is a bit in the middle of nowhere, though there is no problem to reach it by car - some 5 km in the village close to Cham.

The town of Cham looks like a typical Bavarian town, everything very neat, but it does not seem to have very much to offer.
Its surroundings are really stunning, with the Bavarian forest and lots of scenic roads nearby.

A hidden gem.
A hidden gem. Quirky streets, great town square with maypole and sculpture, outside cafe/bars and a beautiful church. You enter the town over a bridge though an arch, very picturesque. Good local, independent shops in the town. Although if you want the larger retailers they can be found outside the town on a business park.
Basic hotel in a beautiful area of town. very good breakfast. friendly man serving drinks. we were disappointed that we had no hot water when we arrived dirty and tired after a very long day cycling
Familiar hotel - nice facility, comfortable and clean rooms; friendly staff; great breakfast. And super good location. On-site parking. And welcoming to 4-legged travelers!
