- Nice, quiet location
- Very good breakfast
- Nice sauna and swimming pool (I would say "great" given the size and a location of the hotel)

The manager was very friendly and helpful. He opened a separate function room and helped me put my bike and trailer into it. He also spoke very good English and was able to advise on the best bike route to Koblenz, also on the impact of the floods. Breakfast and dinner were excellent.
Burgen is a very small town; more like a suburb. It was very very quiet there during the school holidays, with the handful of eateries only open mid-late in the week. We arrived on a Saturday and things were mostly closed until Tuesday, only opening back up on Wednesday. No grocery shopping options in town, but there is a nice big Edeka 10-15min drive away.

I would like to give a high score for the staff. I arrived the hotel quite late around 2PM. And two ladies were waiting for us there. That was really nice because in that region generally the staff of such kind of otels are leaving the place after 6-7PM. The breakfast was really good. It was a typical traditional German gasthof and I really liked it. The area is was silent and surraounded by forests. It is really near to Cochem and other nice places.
This is a decent small hotel set in a green valley a few minutes walk from the river. We received a warm welcome and the room was clean, a decent size and had a balcony overlooking the garden with a view of the hills. Despite the hotel being full, it was a peaceful night. We had dinner there as well as breakfast and the food and service were good. There was plenty of parking space and no charge for it.
Incredibly clean. I have stayed in 5 star hotels which weren’t as clean as this hotel. The staff were very friendly. At breakfast they only had a selection of pork. The staff then specially cut some chicken for us to enjoy at breakfast. We also had stunning views of a castle! At night it was lit and even more beautiful
Very good price/quality ratio. Very nice "biergarten". Restaurant at the hotel is good as the village doesn't offer a lot of other possibilities. The menu was very simple, but what we got was well prepared.
