The staff was incredibly helpful and friendly at all times. The property itself was located in a beautiful area, with plenty of options for food and refreshments. The breakfast was good value for what it cost, and the bunks in the dorm were pretty comfortable.

Breakfast was very nice, the cook made my eggs to order. If traveling alone or with one other person I would stay here again.

We stayed in the apartment building about 50 yards from the hotel. We had a riverfront room with an incredible view. We spent hours during our three day stay just watching this river traffic and enjoying the sights.

Very spacious apartment (we had top floor) with everything we need including a washing machine and plenty of hangers with drying rack. Lots of storage and hanging space. Regret not spending more time in living room as it was very cozy. Few min walk to main train station and river. Hosts were very nice. Wifi spotty in bedroom but moving to kitchen/living room solved the issue. Came with Boppard guest card w free admission to Boppard museum, 10% discount for sessabahn (highly recommend even if one is afraid of heights, about 8–10 min walk from aprtment) , public transportion. Overall, great aprtment amenities and location! Would’ve loved to spend more time.

A pleasant small town in a lovely location. Not that many shops, but more than enough for visitors. There isn't much to see in town, but as a base for exploring the area it's very well located. The town has a good selection of restaurants and bars too

Boppard is a quaint town on the banks of the Rhine and is ideal as a base for exploring the villages and castles along the river. Also a great base for a trip down the river on one of the cruise ships. Loads of good places to eat or just have coffee or ice cream!

Boppard is a charming place and I have visited many times in the past. It is easy to reach via train from Frankfurt and a good base to explore further by train, Mainz, Cologne, Koblenz and Bonn are all within a 2 hour train ride. Unless you really want to you do not need to hire a car as there is plenty to see via public transport. It's an area which seems more popular with mainland European than UK travellers but it doesn't feel overcrowded or overly busy, it has an interesting centre with lots of nice cafes, ice cream parlours and independent shops. Along the riverfront are several excellent restaurants. The Roman remains are interesting and we spent our only wet afternoon at the museum, which was also interesting and free with the Guest card. The fact that the guest card entitles you to free public transport within the area is a huge bonus and we also made use of the discount on KD cruises with a trip back from Rüdesheim to Oberwesel and then back to Boppard on the train. 5 days to a week is the perfect length of time here and allows for some real relaxation as well as new things to see.

Boppard is a lovely town with very nice places to eat and drink. There is planty to see and do - we went on the chair lift to Gedeonseck, a viewpoint high above the river with a very nice bar / restaurant - take your binoculars! It is also a good base for walking or cycling in the area.
The town is well served by means of getting about, there is a regular train service to Koblenz and Mainz (well worth it just for the views) and also frequent river cruises in both directions. There is also a place you can hire bicycles (including electric ones).
Although Boppard doesn't have its own castle, there are a number within easy reach such Castle Katz and Casle Maus (near St Goarshausen).

Bad Salzig - I only needed one night to get to Koblenz on the next day, there is not much I can tell about Bad Salzig as such. However, a long walk through the park (towards the hills south west) proved that Bad Salzig deserves the "Bad" in the name.

Boppard is right on the Rhine and in the middle of the Rhine...
Boppard is right on the Rhine and in the middle of the Rhine wine country. Many tour boats are based in Boppard and the Regional Train stops here and at every other little town between Koblenz and Mainz. This means you can easily visit all the wineries and never have to worry about driving; so enjoy! There are many good restaurants in Boppard also. But many do not take credit cards, so be sure to ask before you sit if you need to use a credit card - and carry cash.
Very nice friendly hotel with good location overlooking the Rhine. We were able to eat both inside and outside by the river. After dropping our luggage at the hotel we were able to park nearby. We were there in the middle of this hot summer (2022) so the fan in the room was welcome and as the sun didn't come into the river-facing room directly, it was comfortable, but air conditioning would be a welcome addition
It's a normal hotel with a great view if you're lucky with the room. On the road side there's a railway but fortunately not too loud. Nice walking path along the river to get to the center. Breakfast is not bad, but nothing special to write about.
Very convenient just off the autobahn on our way north from Munich. A very warm and friendly welcome. Room was more than adequate and the hotel evening restaurant menu looked appetising although we'd eaten elsewhere. Lovely beer on tap too.
