A bit sleepy in the evening (and during the day) but with plenty of activities in vicinity.
There's a golf course on the outskirts and the biggest golf resort in Europe just in the next town (Bad Grisbach).
We had a lovely traditional dinner in Sammareier Gutshof and you certainly should taste the Gugelhupf from the neighbouring cafe which goes by the name of their specialty.

A Bavarian classic - a beautiful farmhouse, geraniums in the windows, stylish furnishings - and absolute peace. The farm is approx. 6 km from the Bad Birnbach spa, on a hill, with a beautiful view. The hosts are very nice and friendly people.
The apartment is spacious, well equipped and perfectly clean. Plenty of parking space in the yard of the farm.
Of course you need a car, but the peace of mind is definitely worth it.

A direct access to the garden is great, so is the hotel location with a plenty of space to park a car. Just a short walk to Bad Birnbach centre.
