A beautiful old hotel in the heart of this historic town. Very large, comfortable and clean room, with a huge bed. Really good breakfasts and the restaurant has a great atmosphere and was really enjoyable too, especially sitting outside for a beer on a warm evening. The staff were friendly and helpful. The decor of the hotel is quirky - a fairy tale theme, in keeping with the hotel name. That won't be to everyone's taste, but just relax and take it as a bit of fun. Parking for guests is close by.

Breakfast was quite extensive and varied. The staff were attentive and ensured that all items on the buffet were constantly refreshed. Room was large and well appointed.
Location was very good, well placed for the town and river. I would strongly recommend using the underground card park, albeit at extra cost. The list goes direct from the car park to your floor.
Staff could not have been more helpful.

We were lucky to get an upgrade, and an upgrade it was! The room was massive. Plenty of well decorated space with a clean and modern bathroom on the upper floor of the apartment. We had access to the private balcony overlooking the vineyards and the Burg Landshut.
Minibar had access to free samples of Deinhard's wine.
Location was perfect - basically within the historic old town.
Good breakfast with multitude of choices.
Underground parking is a bit expensive, but incredibly convenient.

Beautiful small hotel in a good location. Very nice rooms and a very friendly staff. We were greeted and showed around on arrival, and the there is ample parking in the back for the guests. The breakfast room was quite amazing and they’re serving a tasty breakfast with a good selection that would cater to most tastes. It’s good value for money and is highly recommended.

Bernkastel kues is a small but well appointed town, with big supermarkets for all of your self catering accommodation needs. A good selection of restaurants and a few bars, to my point of view and UK experience with bars where there is no smoking in them it could be a little un pleasant in some BUT not all as there are some smoke free.
The Xmas Market and advent calendar house are well worth visiting with a very relaxed but busy vibe. The river cruise/trip is a nice way to spend an hour or so, there are longer trips available but in December when we were there it's a limited run so to speak.
All in all for our 4 night stay it was ideal.

We went for the winter market and while it was raining a bit, the market experience did not disappoint. It was a beautiful, postcard perfect, little town square with one building having an advent on the side of its walls - it is famed as being the largest advent calendar in Europe and they are probably right - watching them open one of the doors was great. The food, drink, and other items for sale as well as the atmosphere were fantastic. My family are big fans of winter markets and this one rates in our Top 5. We also walked up to the ruins of the castle overlooking the town - great view of the town and river. If you love Asian food, you must try Dian's - some of the best food I have eaten including having lived in SE Asia for 6 years.

The beautiful medieval town of Bernkastel is almost complete and exceedingly well maintained. Plenty eating places, lively vibe, great for walking if fit (hills and vineyards and forest) but flat walking or cycling along the riverside was beautiful. Also an unexpected pleasure was museum Zylinderhaus & restaurant . Walked down from the castle to a lovely lunch at the Schutzenhaus with a stunning balcony view of the Mosel.

Charming little town on the river Mosel.
Charming little town on the river Mosel. Because of it’s size the town itself is good for maximum 1 day of sightseeing but deserves at least one night to stay. Though it is a lovely starting point or base to see the area along the River Mosel, with interesting places such as Cochem, Trier, Burg Eltz, Traben Trarbach, Beilstein, Saarburg or even Luxemburg.

Bernkastel Kues is a hidden gem in the Mosel Valley.
Bernkastel Kues is a hidden gem in the Mosel Valley. It gets very busy in the summer. There's lots to do especially if you like walking or biking, as easy or as hard as you want. The best time is in December during the Christingle Nacht celebrations during advent.

The building and environment were amazing! An old traditional well maintained German building.
The breakfast and dinner (food in general was great!). The rooms are spacious but basic for a 4 star.
Location is amazing; right in the heart of Bernkastel!
The hotel also provides (on request) a 3 day parking pass for 12 euros at the public parking by the water and close to the hotel. Ask for it to take advantage of that.
Our waitress, Aye, during dinner on our first night was amazing.
The hotel has a great location in the centre of Bernkastel-Kues with a 5 minute walk to the centre of the town. The rooms are very modern and comfortable. The breakfast had a great selection in the buffet and always had plenty of space. The team at the hotel were always helpful and assisted with dinner reservations and taxis (when we couldn't do the language).
Really Nice!

Nice old building which was totally modenisized inside - and very tastefully so. Extremely cosy and nice interior. We had our room in the top floor, it was large and lovely. Breakfast was really good, too. Walking distance to all places in Bernkastel-Kues.
Perfect location, excellent facilities, the room and bed was first class and staff were very friendly and helpful. This is the place to stay in Bernkastel-Kues and the Mosel Valley.
